Board of Directors
The affairs of the Club shall be managed by a Board of seven elected (or appointed in the case of vacancies) Directors.
The 2024/2025 Board Members are:

Board Nominations
Nominations for Board Member positions for the 2025/2026 season take place from July 1 to 17, 2025.
The existing Board Members have indicated an intention to stay on for another term. There remains a vacancy for an “On Point” member of the Board. This is one of the four members of the Board that reside represent the Village of Sturgeon Point. As per the by-laws, there are also three Board Members that shall reside outside of Point. All Board Member terms are for one year.
The Board of Directors is a “working Board”. As such, each Director must be able to commit the time and effort to assist in the operation of the Club.
The portfolio descriptions for the positions can be found here. After the Board Members are confirmed at the AGM, the board meets to assign the portfolios, including the role of President.
Nominations for 2025/2026 will close on July 17, 2025 and will be received by the President by sending an email to president@sturgeonpointgolf.com .
Requirement for An Election
If there are more candidates than Board Member positions, an election will be held at the Annual General Meeting. All adult members of the golf course will be eligible to vote in the election. The election will be held through online and paper ballots and will occur shortly after nominations close.
Committees
The course relies on volunteers to inform and guide the Board. In 2024, the Greens Committee was re-established to work with the Greens Superintendent and team providing input, suggestions and feedback on the maintenance of the golf course. The Greens Committee is now in it’s second year and plays an important role as a voice for the members. In 2025 a Handicap and Clubhouse Committee was struck up to help strengthen to liaise with the Pro on matters in the clubhouse.
